Video Dating in Balboa Park

  • San Diego Art Institute 1439 El Prado San Diego, CA, 92101 United States (map)

Artist Omar Lopex will host a video dating recording day, in collaboration with artist Noe Olivas, director of Untitled Space. The event is part of Lopex's artist residency at the San Diego Art Institute.

Untitled Space is a rolling social sculpture project that consists of a 1967 Chevy Bread-truck, whose primary focus is to engage local communities as an alternative, unconventional, yet utilitarian mobile space for artists.

Lopex is inviting the public to be participants in a video project that will be presented at his exhibit (For the Love of God Watch These Movies) at SDAI's Horton Plaza Project Space. Inside the Untitled Space truck, participants will record their own video dating ad. The project aims to involve people of diverse backgrounds and of every/any relationship status: people who are not single are encouraged to participate, the project's focus being LIES & PRETEND.

Come to Balboa Park on September 22nd between 12pm and 9pm and find Untitled Space to participate in this project!
