This month’s guest curator is Alisoun Meehan, a native of Washington DC. Alisoun is obsessed with food and attracted to places with street culture. As an independent curator, she produces themed exhibitions in both galleries and in unconventional venues such as strategically parked moving trucks; vacant meat lockers; 4-star restaurants and abandoned brickyards, transforming them into temporary gallery spaces. She organizes unique collaborations between artists and chefs, musicians, and writers, working to include neighborhood participation, and of course, always keeping the pedestrian in mind.
Artists are invited to bring finished works or works in progress—either physically or via flash drive—to discuss with the group.
To RSVP for the crit group, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org by May 10th.
