Summary:

The Intern will work closely with SDAI leaders to learn about the organization’s public relations, marketing strategies, design, market analysis, press relationships, brand strategies, visitor services activities. Interns will greet visitors as they enter while  maintaining store inventory, identify and implement visual merchandising strategies, maintain a budget and increase revenue, structure store procedures, and suggest new opportunities

Interim Creative Director and Membership & Visitor Relations Manager

Opportunities:

Utilize design skills in a professional setting

Insight on inner workings of a non-profits arts institution

Catalog press clippings

Engage museum visitors

Assist with audience engagement

Assist with surveys and perform market analysis

Prepare new print, mailing, and online designs

Work on data collection

 

Responsibilities:

Manage outreach lists

Maintain reports on visitor attendance

Help design print material

Identify opportunities for utilizing designs

Attend to SDAI and store visitors on a weekly schedule

Identify new products

Maintain inventory

Printing daily reports

Photographing products

Writing product descriptions

 

Opportunities:

Work closely with all departments on visual communication strategies

Assist Marketing team

Gain experience in day-to-date retail sales

Implement new visual merchandising strategies

 

Requirements:

Illustrator and Photoshop is a must

Currently enrolled student or recent graduate

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Knowledge in Microsoft Suite is a must

Independent worker: self-motivated and organized

Interest in learning about marketing, design, and PR

Interest in retail sales
