CoSA summer art intensive for teens

Our Visual Art Intensive is a full program that seeks to broaden students’ creativity and professional development skills by furthering their understanding of the world around them in a creative, supportive environment. This summer, Coronado School of the Arts (CoSA) is thrilled to partner with San Diego Art Institute to offer 2 full weeks of programming to teens. Classes will take place at the Coronado School of the Arts.

During the length of the program, students in grades 9-12 are given hands-on training in several art mediums, in workshops facilitated by professional artists. Learning takes place not only in these workshops but through lectures given by renowned local artists. In addition to growing student’s artistic ability and technique, participants will receive professional development training in museum practices. This training, led by professionals in the art, museum, and gallery field, exposes students to new career paths and help crystallize their career goals.
