Jean McKee

Born in Missouri, but raised in Chicago, Jean’s father taught in medical school.  Her mother was an accomplished poet and writer.  Jean has a B.A. in History from West Virginia University, where she met her husband.  They had four children, which has kept and still keeps her busy.

After retiring to La Jolla in 1987, Jean’s husband John and daugher Joan became artists, and Jean began to make jewelry and collect art.

Over the years, Jean has enjoyed working for, supporting and encouraging San Diego’s art community.
